The Weather seems to be colder in most other places which makes sense because we are 70 degree californians with no temperature tolerance. The drive from williams to the edges of the grand canyon was quite nice and to be standing on the cliffs of what seems to be the whole world is eye opening and creates the feelings that make you feel alive. With a nice brunch of mushrooms, eggs and rice in our bellies we took a trek out to a secluded edge of the grand canyon and stood in awe of the vast ravine beneath us. A light snow started to shower down on us in the cold winter air and patches of snow surrounded the ground beneath us. Freezing hands and snow sprinkled jackets made the experience different and better than i even imagined it to be. driving back down the 89 into flagstaff wondering where to sleep tonight we pulled out the old macintosh and decided to stay at a little campground just 20 minutes down the road which turned out to have an abundance of fire wood and a reasonable price, the absence of wind and a superb mountain feel, with high cliffs of pine trees and rocks that made for a pleasant night sleep.
